I spent the night coughing and hacking and my stomach is so sore I can hardly breathe or move today.
The rain is coming, sprinkling now and did a bit yesterday too but the real rainy period is to begin this afternoon/evening.
Today starts ladies retreat and I can't go. I have a doctors' appt on Friday.
Also this morning we got our income tax refunds back and ohhhh how welcome that was so I've ordered new jean skirts for my 3 oldest girls and myself. Hoping they arrive before youth retreat because Larissa and Kyla-Dawn need them badly!

Hi Heidi!
ReplyDeleteI just read your blog and since you have not made an entry as of April 29th I'm assuming that it means you've had your baby. Congratulations! I can't wait to hear what you had and how everything went. I tried to email you but it was sent back to me, so I wasn't sure how to reach you.
We are keeping very busy as usual. Today our field got worked up so on Monday they are planting it...very excited about that! It has also been lambing season. So far we've got 5 girls and 2 boys...about 5 or 6 more to come. They are so small and cute...it has been a really good experience for the boys. Everything here has been a good experience for them and they are very content here. I am very thankful for that but I did tell God years ago that if He was calling any of us to missions abroad then He had to call all of us...He has definitely done that.
I have a question for you...when you feel up to it. It's about home schooling. What do you do for your children to get them a high school diploma? We have a 15 year old and we're trying to figure out what's the best way to finish his schooling. He really wants to streamline it and finish quickly. We use ACE curriculum and I have the option of doing it through a school back home but then you have to meet many requirements and don't have the option of leaving sections out (example sentence diagramming). Also, I can imagine the high school sciences are difficult to do as I don't readily have lab stuff available. I've briefly looked at them getting a GED later but then you have to be 19 and out of school for a year before you can write the exam. I'm really not sure what is the best thing to do for them. Home schooling is already so difficult, keeping everyone on task and not allowing the busyness of life overtake your schedule...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, I thought I'd see what you do and maybe that will help me sort this all out.
Thanks for your time....God Bless you and your family as you welcome your new addition.
